Apex Legends World's Edge Season 30 New POIs: Climatizer / War Camp / Tree Settlement Guide

Season 30 'Marked' rewrites World's Edge — 3 new POIs (Climatizer with Bloodhound tribe Longhouse, War Camp arena, Tree Settlement with vertical movement) plus Sorting Factory and Fragment Construction Stacks returning. Loot tables, rotation tips, the aurora borealis night theme, and Corrupted Attachments compatibility with each POI.

Freshness Apex S30 'Marked' 2026-08-04 → ~2026-11-03. Split 1 ends 2026-09-15 18:00 UTC.

TL;DR: World’s Edge has 3 brand-new POIs (Climatizer / War Camp / Tree Settlement), 2 returning POIs (Sorting Factory + Fragment Construction Stacks), and an aurora borealis night theme tied to Bloodhound’s lore. Climatizer = loot-heavy mid-tier; War Camp = arena fight, low loot but close-range; Tree Settlement = vertical movement hot drop. Sort Factory returns to Fragment rotation; Fragment Construction Stacks return for old-muscle-memory players. Rampart’s Big Maude moved above Landslide.

1.2 The aurora borealis night theme

The entire map now has a nighttime sky with aurora borealis (Northern Lights) and old-god aesthetic tied to Bloodhound’s Norse-style lore. The lighting is darker than before — expect reduced visibility at long range and more emphasis on close-quarters gunfights.

1.3 What stayed the same

  • Map size — same as S29 World’s Edge
  • Drop pod / ship path — same general trajectory
  • Ring logic — same end-zone flow as before

2. Climatizer — Bloodhound’s tribe

2.1 What’s there

Climatizer is the new home of Bloodhound’s tribe in World’s Edge lore. It’s a mid-tier POI with two distinctive buildings:

BuildingNotes
LonghouseLarge central building with Eastern Village architecture — narrow corridors, elevated walkways, multiple loot rooms
Tribe HallSmaller adjacent building with totem poles, weapon racks, and a Bloodhound-story easter egg

2.2 Loot table

TierCountNotes
High-tier weapons3-4 per buildingAll weapon classes represented
High-tier attachments2-3 per buildingLots of Corrupted Attachment spawns
Med kits / shield cells8-12 per buildingHigh healing density
Backpacks2-3 per buildingCommon
Ammo80+ light/heavy per sideEnough for two players
Care packages1 in Longhouse atticRandom high-tier

2.3 Rotation tips

You should drop Climatizer if…You should skip if…
You want a balanced mid-tier fightYou want a quick early fight (it’s too far from the ship)
You main Bloodhound and want lore roleplayYou’re a sniper — limited long sightlines
You want to farm Corrupted AttachmentsYou’re playing solo and the lobby is full of premades

Best landing spot: The Longhouse rooftop. You get the highest-tier loot first, and the elevated position lets you spot third-parties before they spot you.

3. War Camp — the arena replacement for Survey Camp

3.1 What’s there

War Camp is the replacement for Survey Camp. It’s a tight, arena-style POI built around close-quarters combat.

FeatureNotes
Central arenaOpen ground with cover crates — fights happen fast
Surrounding ring4-5 small buildings circle the arena with sniper positions
Underground passages2 tunnel entrances for flanks
Loot densityLow — 6-8 high-tier weapons across the whole POI
Respawn beacon1 — central

3.2 Why “arena” matters

War Camp was designed for early-game team fights. The loot is intentionally scarce so that:

  1. Two landing teams get incomplete kits after first pass
  2. They have to fight over what’s left in the arena
  3. The arena design funnels engagements into close range

3.3 Rotation tips

You should drop War Camp if…You should skip if…
You’re a premade with strong close-range legends (Wraith / Octane / Bangalore)You want to land safely — 2-3 squads will drop here every game
You want fast early fightsYou main sniper legends (the open arena punishes long sightlines)
You’re playing the Wraith portal metaYou don’t have healing — the fights burn resources fast

Best landing spot: One of the arena crates (not a building). If you can grab a sniper + R-301 / Flatline in the first 10 seconds, you can fight from the surrounding buildings. Don’t chase kills into the tunnels unless you have a Wingman + good close-range legend.

4. Tree Settlement — the new vertical hot drop

4.1 What’s there

Tree Settlement is a rebuilt vertical-movement POI that replaces the old Tree Settlement from earlier World’s Edge iterations.

FeatureNotes
Vertical platforming4-5 ziplines connecting elevated tree platforms
Loot densityMid — 10-12 high-tier weapons spread across platforms
SightlinesMultiple angles from each platform — careful of crossfire
MobilityPathfinder / Valkyrie / Octane can dominate this POI

4.2 Vertical movement mechanics

Tree Settlement introduces new zipline-based vertical gameplay:

PathRiskReward
Lower platforms → upper platformsExposed during the climbTop loot + escape route
Upper platforms → groundOpen fall, vulnerable mid-airFast rotation to nearby POI
Cross-platform ziplinesHigh — other teams use them tooQuick relocation

4.3 Rotation tips

You should drop Tree Settlement if…You should skip if…
You main Pathfinder / Valkyrie / Octane / HorizonYou’re a non-mobility legend (Caustic / Gibraltar)
You want high-density loot fastYou’re solo queuing — the vertical combat favors premades
You want to practice zipline gunfightsYou’re new to World’s Edge

Best landing spot: The central tree platform. Highest loot tier + immediate zipline access to 3 other platforms.

5. Returning POIs — Sorting Factory + Fragment Construction Stacks

5.1 Sorting Factory (returning, near Fragment)

Sorting Factory returns to the Fragment rotation. It’s the industrial complex between Fragment and Capital City.

FeatureNotes
Loot densityHigh — 12-15 high-tier weapons
SightlinesLong interior corridors + exterior conveyor belts
RotationEasy skip-to-Fragment via the underground tunnel
RiskFrequently third-partied from Fragment

Best landing spot: The lower warehouse (not the conveyor belt). Less hot-dropped than the upper levels.

5.2 Fragment Construction Stacks (returning)

The Construction Stacks return inside Fragment. These are the vertical scaffolding structures between Fragment West and Fragment East.

FeatureNotes
Vertical height6-7 floors
Loot densityHigh — 10-12 weapons per stack
RiskHighest — 3-4 squads always drop Fragment
RotationFast to Sorting Factory or Countdown

Best landing spot: One of the middle floors (3rd-4th). Avoid the top (everyone lands there) and the bottom (no escape route).

6. Rampart’s Big Maude — moved above Landslide

Big Maude (Rampart’s weapon shop) has relocated from its S29 position to a new spot above Landslide.

ChangeDetail
Old positionSouth of Lava Siphon (Fragment side)
New positionAbove Landslide (north of Fragment)
What it sellsSame LMGs / Sentinel / Rampage

Why the move? Big Maude was always underused because of its awkward Fragment-side location. The Landslide position gives it more rotation traffic.

7. Corrupted Attachments + POI compatibility

S30’s new Corrupted Attachments system gives a big stat boost with a compensating drawback. The loot density of Corrupted Attachments varies by POI:

POICorrupted Attachment density
ClimatizerHigh — best place to farm
Sorting FactoryMedium
Tree SettlementMedium
FragmentLow
War CampVery low
Lava Siphon / HarvesterNone — back to standard attachments

Strategy: if you want a Corrupted Attachment early, drop Climatizer. If you want a normal mid-tier kit, drop Sorting Factory.

8. Drop priority order (S30 World’s Edge)

Based on the new POI map, here’s the drop priority for solo and premade:

8.1 Solo queue priority

  1. Tree Settlement — if you can handle the vertical fight
  2. Sorting Factory — safest mid-tier loot
  3. Climatizer — if you want Corrupted Attachments
  4. Skyhook — safe rotation to outer ring

8.2 Premade priority

  1. War Camp — close-range fight for 2-3 squad premades
  2. Tree Settlement — if you have a Pathfinder / Valkyrie
  3. Fragment Construction Stacks — high-risk high-reward
  4. Climatizer — for Corrupted Attachment stacking

8.3 Avoid at all costs

  • Fragment East / West unless you’re a 3-stack premade with Wraith portal
  • The tunnel between Sorting Factory and Fragment — chokepoint ambush spot

9. The aurora borealis night theme — what changes in gameplay

9.1 Visual changes

  • Sky is now aurora borealis (Northern Lights) green/blue
  • Building lights are dimmer — interior fights are darker
  • Long-range visibility is reduced — snipers from Skytown to Countdown is harder

9.2 Tactical implications

ImplicationTactic
Less long-range snipingPush close-range legends (Wraith / Octane / Bangalore)
Dark interiors favor flashbang legendsFuse / Bangalore get a slight buff
Reduced visibility for ultimatesBangalore smoke / Caustic gas last longer
Less contrast for spotting enemiesAudio cues (footsteps) become more important
